The Spring Approaches

 Hi Team,

Catkins spring around the corner in Shropshire

Bare branches. Fuzz bursts – not quite silver, not yet green.

A tremble beneath brittle sky.

Not-yet-warmth tickles.

(Soon: the scent of unfurling)

Not surrender, but winter's breath held, waiting.

Catkins: an exhale against the frost.
