Dark sky: Night views

 Hi Team,

At this time of the year the crisp clear nights can give us beautiful views of the Shropshire country.

We live in a quiet part of a quiet county where light pollution is particularly low. In the still evening, with a long exposure and a hunter's moon there is plenty to excite the imagination and trigger the senses..

A Lone Winter Walk

The night is cold and still

But I feel a gentle thrill

As I walk along the country lanes

With only the hunter's moon to guide me

The stars are bright and clear

And I sense no danger near

As I breathe the crisp and frosty air

With only the hunter's moon to warm me

The fields are white and bare

But I see a beauty rare

As I marvel at the silent scene

With only the hunter's moon to admire me

The village is far and dim

But I know I'll reach my inn

As I follow the familiar path

With only the hunter's moon to welcome me
